SGHS April 26 Special Meeting

More than 20 community members attended a special meeting April 26 held by the Sweet Grass County High School Board of Trustees regarding the future of the vo ag department. Following a lengthy discussion with the public and amongst themselves, the board voted to open up a part-time vo ag position. The position is a 2/7 offering — meaning the new hire would teach just two periods per day. 

The decision came as a result of two obstacles: number one being the school's budget crisis and two, the retirement of long-time ag teacher Gary Mattheis.
