PLAYOFFS: Herders fall 32-20 to Huntley Project
The No. 9 Big Timber football team fell in the first round of the Class B playoffs Oct. 27 at No. 7 Huntley Project. It was the Herders' first trip to the playoffs since 2010 and first time going with a winning record since 2007. The Herders cracked into the top 10 rankings after an upset win against then No. 6 Jefferson in the sixth win of the season. The Herders were just No. 10 for a pair of weeks before moving into No. 9 and eventually securing a playoff berth just weeks before the end of the regular season. Big Timber finished the year 6-4, with a 6-3 regular season record and 5-2 conference record, finishing third in the South Region.
