Patricia Minot Haines “Pat” Dews

Patricia Minot Haines “Pat” Dews, age 78, formerly of Big Timber, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 23. She was born on Nov. 5, 1940 in Wilmington, Ohio.

A graduate of Arlington High School (Arlington, Texas) in 1958, Pat attended the University of Texas at Arlington. Pat was an accomplished executive secretary for decades in the Dallas area.

Upon moving to Big Timber from Texas in 1996, Pat and her husband Jake were active members of Big Timber Evangelical Church where Pat volunteered in the office for several years until they moved to Columbia Falls in November 2017.

Pat’s talents were many, township clerk in Chester, New Jersey, a volunteer fireman in Double Oak, Texas, an accomplished gardener, frequently knitting and crocheting, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, community volunteer and friend of many.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Jon Allan Dews and her parents Charles and Kitty Haines. Pat is survived by brother Kenneth Haines, sons Michael A. Dews and Richard G. Dews, four grandsons Daniel, Gregory, Wesley and David, granddaughter Allison, great-grandson Everett and great-granddaughter Autumn.
