Mufasa’s wild ride

It had been three days since Jessie Connolly last saw her 10-year-old cat, Mufasa.

She figured a hawk had taken the ranch-broke feline.

Connolly had all but convinced herself that Mufasa, or Muff for short, was a goner.

In recent years, he survived a rattlesnake bite and narrowly escaped a barn fire — perhaps, his nine lives had been all used up.

But Connolly was wrong.

Unbeknownst to her, on Nov. 6 Muff made his way six-and-a-half miles from Connolly’s Big Timber residence to The Fort, where he hitched a ride on a flatbed pickup.
