Herman Gibson

March 22, 1930 - Nov. 7, 2016

Dad passed away Nov. 7, 2016, at his home in Big Timber.

He was born in Springdale on March 22, 1930, to Robert and Marble Gibson. Herman was the last of nine children. He worked all of his life as a heavy duty mechanic.

Herman married Diane F. Vessey on Oct. 5, 1951. They where together 65 years. They had four children, 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Herman worked all over Montana and Wyoming on road construction. He loved to hunt, snowmobile, travel and play cards.

He loved telling stories of growing up around Big Timber, Clyde Park, Logan and Billings. His memory was remarkable and the stories will be passed down from generation to generation to come.

He will be so missed. Now he is with Mom who passed away Aug. 28, 2016.

Jim Gibson and Jerri Gibson Potts would like to thank the Sweet Grass County Sheriff’s Office and EMTs for all their help and understanding. And a special thank you to the Hearts and Hands Hospice in Big Timber for all their wonderful compassion with mom and dad — words can’t say enough about all the people that helped us with both of our parents.
