USFS shares ‘freak out’ map

The Custer-Gallatin National Forest plans to release a map this week showing areas of the forest that meet the criteria for recommended wilderness in the upcoming revision of the forest’s management plan. The Forest Service will now evaluate those areas to determine if they can realistically be managed as wilderness.
